The services offered by the Resource Center include:

Hands-on education and training
A variety of workshops and seminars are provided for child care providers
to assist in meeting state mandated training requirements. Classes are provided in a centralized location in
Schenectady County conducive to promoting a nurturing and supportive environment for professional growth.
- Curriculum and Resource Center
A curriculum and resource library is staffed by Early Childhood Educators who provide technical assistance
for caregivers in planning their curriculum goals and objectives. In addition to curriculum development, the
library also houses a variety of resources for caregivers.
- Quality improvement grants for non-profit centers
Beginning in 2003 and extending through 2006, non-profit child care centers in Schenectady County are
eligible to receive grant funding for equipment and other resources, and for the minor improvement of
their facilities.
