The Council’s Child Care Health Consultants are registered nurses who partner with child care centers, group and family child care homes, and school-age programs to foster safe and healthy environments for children. The Consultants act as a resource to:
Develop a health care plan for the child care program.
Provide training and education about health related issues.
Create polices and procedures to help keep children and adults
safe and healthy.
Answer questions about common child care health related issues.
The Child Care Council’s Child Care Health Consultants are also certified Medication Administration (MAT) Instructors.
