About the Council

The Capital District Child Care Council is dedicated to providing resources to the community in order to improve the availability and quality of child care and to assist families in finding child care. As the local child care resource and referral agency for New York’s Capital Region since 1989, the Council provides these resources to Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, Fulton, Montgomery, and Rensselaer counties.
The Capital District Child Care Council is dedicated to promoting quality early care and education in the region and to helping others recognize that an investment in the education of our youngest children is an investment in our future.

Our Mission

The Capital District Child Care Council is a resource and referral agency dedicated to promoting quality, accessible child care for all the Capital Region’s diverse communities.  The Council assumes a leadership role in supporting children, parents, child care professionals, and employers through referral counseling, training and advocacy.

Our Vision

The vision of the Capital District Child Care Council is to support the quality of care in early education and school-age programs in the Capital District.  Our goal is to provide technical assistance, education, and supports for caregivers and programs by promoting developmentally appropriate practice and the healthy growth and social-emotional competence of children.
